Rails to Trails - Inverness to Nobleton Florida

Wahoo !!!!!! The sun's shining in Florida!

You've got to love these Rails to Trails - easy riding, scenic, covers lots of ground in a short time. Florida has an amazing Rails to Trails network and it's growing all the time.

We spent the day with Francien exploring the route from Inverness to Nobleton. Along the way we saw a land tortoise peeking out of its sandy den, lots of hawks, ospreys and turkey vultures, a pileated woodpecker and Egrets and Ibis. Oh yes - a baby alligator, a red-backed turtle...hmmm memory test!

We learned something about wheel sizes...usually I can't keep up with Francien, but this time I was the 'big wheel' and it made quite a difference. Will have to look into that back home!
